We're excited that you are considering joining the ISB Model United Nations club! Please read the following information about the club:

  • MUN is open to all high school students at ISB.
  • The purpose of MUN is to learn about current global issues and to participate in a statewide simulation.
  • Countries are represented by "teams" of delegates - this year, ISB is representing China (a Big Five country).
  • Each delegate is assigned to a committee with specific topics - for example, Global Security or Environmental.
  • Delegates spend the winter and spring learning about global issues and country policy, and writing position papers and resolutions.
  • Delegates attend a three-day overnight (two nights) conference at University of Oregon in April.

All ISB MUN club members must be able to:

  • Attend weekly meetings during lunch, and a few meetings after school.
  • Put effort into research and writing.
  • Participate actively during meetings and discussions.
A great way to get a sense of what we do at the spring conference is to view our photo gallery.

If you are able to make a commitment to join the club, please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We look forward to hearing from you!
